Dumfries and Galloway Council
With the third largest land area in Scotland and home to almost 150,000 people, Dumfries and Galloway Council has addressing the climate emergency and safeguarding the future of the region at the heart of its planning. The Council has ambitions to be a climate neutral organisation by 2033, as well as working alongside households, businesses and communities to achieve their decarbonisation goals so that Dumfries and Galloway can be a net zero region by 2040. Responsible for key assets and infrastructure such as roading, schools, community facilities, and flood management (among many other responsibilities), the council are committed to ensuring Dumfries and Galloway is a successful region to live, work, visit, and invest, both now and into the future.

Solway Firth Partnership
The Solway Firth Partnership is a local coastal partnership and charity working cross-border on both sides of the Solway Firth on key national and international marine issues. Our work remit includes marine planning, invasive species and marine litter. SFP host the SCAMP Innovation in Restoration project and deliver the CLEAR Coasts project piloting salt marsh restoration techniques. SFP have key priorities around climate such as place-based coastal impact and adaptation, environmental change and invasive non-native species, and impact and opportunities for marine industries and recreation.
